The school is committed to continually seeking to improve our offer for children and families as part of a culture which respects feedback and embraces a Growth Mindset. The leadership team carry out self evaluation exercises every half term and provide feedback to all stakeholders on how it is progressing in relation to improvement priorities. It is important to note the context of the school when considering school improvement priorities. Downlands Community school is one of 4 schools in England which is situated ‘behind the wire’ of an armed forces base. As such, mobility of pupils is high due to the demands of serving parents.
