Governors

The school is served by a team of governors who offer a range of experiences, skills and perspectives. The role of school governor is increasingly important in modern education and a strong governing body is needed to offer support and challenge in equal measure so that our overall standards are kept as high as possible. Downlands Community School Governing Body meet every month under a ‘single meeting structure’, whereby all matters (school improvement, finance, staffing, premises) are appraised by all Governors. The annual planner below provides an outline of agenda items discussed across the year.
